1 c. shortening 1 c. brown sugar 2 c. flour 2 c. oatmeal 1 c. coconut (optional) 1 tsp. baking soda 1 c. white sugar 2 eggs 1/2 tsp. salt 2 c. Rice Krispies 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. baking powder Mix flour, soda, powder and salt. Set aside. Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Add flour mixture and mix well. Add oatmeal, Rice Krispies and coconut (optional). Form into balls and press down with fork. Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. |
