APPLE WALNUT COBBLER 
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. walnuts
4 c. sliced apples
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 beaten egg
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1/3 c. melted butter
1 c. sugar

Mix 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, and 1/2 cup of nuts together. Place apples in bottom of greased 8 inch square baking pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon/nut mixture. Combine egg, evaporated milk, and butter. Add dry ingredients and mix until smooth. Pour over apples. Sprinkle with remaining nuts. Bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes. Serve with whipped cream. This can also be made with cherry pie filling or fresh peaches.
