CHICKEN POT PIE 
3 lb. (approx.) hen
1 sm. onion
2 stalks celery
1/2 c. flour
1 c. cooked peas and-or 1 c. carrots
2 boiled eggs, optional

Stew hen with onion and celery with water to make 5 cups broth. Bone and dice chicken. Stir in flour, slowly add liquid. Put in 9 x 13 dish.

TOPPING:

1 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
1 stick butter, melted

Mix together and pour over chicken. Bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes.
