MOM K'S APPLE CREAM PIE 
CRUST:

1 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
2 to 3 tbsp. cold water

FILLING:

4 lg. tart apples
1/3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. evaporated milk or cream
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Prepare crust. Peel, core and slice apples and place in pastry lined pie pan. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over apples. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes and then 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
