LOVELIGHT YELLOW CHIFFON CAKE 
2 eggs, separated
1 1/2 c. sugar, divided
2 1/4 c. sifted Softasilk cake flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. flavoring

Beat egg whites until frothy. Gradually add 1/2 cup sugar. Continue beating until very stiff and glossy.

In another bowl, sift remaining 1 cup sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Add oil, half of milk and flavoring. Beat 1 minute on medium speed, scraping sides of bowl. Add remaining milk, egg yolks, beat 1 minute more or until well blended. Fold in meringue. Pour into well greased and floured pans. Bake 30 minutes for layers, 40-45 minutes for 9 x 13 inch pan. Frost as desired.
