STANDARD PIE CRUST 
2 c. sifted all - purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening
6 tbsp. cold water

Sift flour and salt together into a mixing bowl. Cut in shortening with pastry cutter until mixture resembles corn meal. Sprinkle cold water evenly over surface. Stir with fork until all dry particles are moistened and pastry clings together. Divide in half. Makes 2 pie crusts.
