MACE CAKE 
1 cup butter (or 1/2 c. butter & 1/2 c. Crisco)
2 cup sugar
5 eggs
2 cups sifted flour
1/2 cup milk or buttermilk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon mace
2 teaspoons vanilla

Mix all ingredients and bake in a greased and floured Bundt pan for one hour at 350°F.

Top with icing or serve plain.

6 servings.

Very good and very easy, but has no leavening agent in the list of ingredients. I added one teaspoon of baking powder, which worked nicely. I also boosted the mace to one tablespoon.
