RAISIN SQUARES 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. raisins (cook in water until tender)
1 c. liquid from raisins
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda, dissolve in raisin liquid
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix well; sugar, shortening and eggs. Add remaining ingredients until well mixed. Grease and flour 11 x 15 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or more. Ice with glaze icing while still warm.
