CHOCOLATE CHIP CHEESE BARS 
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine crust ingredients and press into greased, 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake 12 minutes and cool 15 minutes.

FILLING:

1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 egg

Blend filling ingredients and pour onto crust.

TOPPING:

1 lg. bag chocolate chips (2 c.)

Top with chocolate chips. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool completely and cut into squares.

May also top with coconut, nuts, butterscotch chips or peanut butter chips.
