PINEAPPLE NUT BREAD 
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
1 (9 oz.) can crushed pineapple
3 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Cream sugar and shortening, beat in eggs one at a time. Add pineapple and nuts. Sift dry ingredients and add to pineapple mixture. Stir just enough to moisten. Spoon into greased and floured loaf pan. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool.
