CHILI A LA K.C. FLANAGAN 
1 lb. ground beef, sirloin or round
1 c. chopped onion
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
1 1/2 c. water
2 (15 1/4 oz.) can kidney beans
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cumin

Brown beef and onion in large saucepan. Drain off excess fat. Stir in tomato paste, stewed tomatoes (break up tomatoes), and water. Add beans, garlic, chili powder, salt, and cumin. Mix well. Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
