BEST YET POUND CAKE 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
3 c. sugar
3 c. cake flour
1 tsp. vanilla
3 sticks butter
6 eggs
1 tbsp. butternut flavoring

It is important that all ingredients be left out at room temperature for 2 hours before preparing. Cream butter and cream cheese together. Add sugar, then eggs (one at a time), beating well after each addition. Add flour, then flavorings.

Carefully and completely grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan. Add batter. Place in a cold oven and set temperature at 300 degrees. Bake 1 hour and 35 minutes. Turn off oven and leave in oven for 5 minutes longer. This cake freezes well. I cool mine for about 2 hours.
