MY BEST POUND CAKE 
1 lb. butter, softened
1 lb. powdered sugar (1 box)
6 eggs, unbeaten
1 1/2 tbsp. vanilla
3 c. sifted cake flour (Swans Down)
1 tsp. coconut flavoring
1 c. milk

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease large tube pan. Sprinkle with flour. Have butter and eggs at room temperature. Cream butter thoroughly, adding sugar gradually until well blended. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla and coconut flavoring. Beat at moderate speed. Add flour and milk alternately, 1/2 cup at a time. Beat thoroughly. Pour into pan and bake about 1 hour or until golden brown and firm. Sprinkle top with powdered sugar.
