 Edmund B. Hickey (Washington) says:
What makes anyone put Thousand Island salad dressing on corned beef and think it is great? if you had a slice of corned beef on your plate would you dump Thousand Island on it or mustard?
I have reviewed all of the Reuben recipes and little is said about mustard. Salad dressing belongs on salads. McDonald's secret sauce in it's Big Mac is Thousand Island dressing. Why doesn't someone have a recipe for a Reuben that uses mustard instead of Thousand Island, the universal salad dressing? T I does NOT belong on corned beef.
