MOM'S BABY BACK RIBS | |
This recipe calls for the ribs to be prepared 24 hours in advance of being barbecued. Ideal for family outings! 1 or 2 racks of pork baby back ribs vinegar (white, cider, red wine; whatever you have) your choice of barbecue sauce aluminum foil Preheat oven to 300°F. Cut the baby back ribs into 3-4 rib sections. I like to poke at the meat with a fork or knife a bit, gets the vinegar in. Place each section of ribs on a piece of aluminum foil, sprinkle each side of the ribs with vinegar, about one to two teaspoons, and wrap tightly. Bake for 2 hours, then refrigerate overnight (24 hours). Remove from refrigerator, unwrap foil, place on grill, baste with barbecue sauce, and grill at a low to medium temperature to heat thoroughly, and I guarantee that you will have the meat falling off of the bones! I never liked ribs until my Mom gave me this recipe for ribs. The vinegar breaks down the fats, which helps to tenderize and flavor the meat. Submitted by: Sheryl Lambes |
