COMPANY BEETS WITH PINEAPPLE | |
2 tbsp. packed brown sugar 1 tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 tsp. salt 1 can (8 1/4 oz.) pineapple chunks 1 tbsp. butter 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1 can (16 oz.) cut beets, drained Thoroughly combine sugar, cornstarch and salt in saucepan; stir in pineapple (with syrup). Cook over medium flame, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils; add remaining ingredients. Reduce flame and heat through. Makes 4 servings. |
