SNICKERDOODLES 
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Mix together butter, sugar and eggs. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Chill dough. Roll into balls the size of small walnuts. Roll in mixture of 1 Tbsp. sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet and bake until lightly brown, but still soft.
