1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease cookie sheets. Cream shortening, butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar. Add eggs. Mix. Add flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Mix. Form into small balls. Roll in sugar and cinnamon mixture, place about 2" apart on cookie sheet. Bake 8 minutes. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
