SNICKERDOODLES 
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon

Cream sugar and shortening together. Add egg and beat. Add rest of dry ingredients. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Roll dough into balls, then roll in sugar and cinnamon mixture. Place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Makes 2 dozen cookies.
