BULGOKI 
MARINADE:

2 lbs. lean sirloin
4 tbsp. light soy sauce
2 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. minced scallions
1 lg. clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tbsp. toasted sesame seed
1 tbsp. sesame oil
1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
For frying: 1/2 c. peanut oil

BULGOKI SAUCE:

3 tbsp. light soy sauce
2 tbsp. sesame oil
2 tbsp. sherry
2 tsp. sugar
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp. toasted sesame seed
1 tsp. minced chives
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
Tabasco to taste
Cooked rice
Steamed green beans

Slice (or scissor cut) beef very thin and pound to flatten. Cut into squares. Combine all ingredients for the marinade. Mix the meat in the marinade and refrigerate at least 4 hours. Mix sauce ingredients in pan; heat (do not boil). Keep warm.

In skillet heat 1/2 cup peanut oil and saute beef slices briefly until cooked. Drain beef slices. Place on platter and pour heated Bulgoki sauce on top. Serve with rice and slightly steamed green beans.
