PEACH COBBLER 
2 (16 oz.) cans sliced peaches
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. cornstarch
Drop biscuits (see recipe for biscuits in bread section)
1/3 c. sugar

In saucepan, combine peaches with syrup, the first 1/3 cup of sugar, the spices and cornstarch; bring to boiling. Pour into ungreased 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Prepare drop biscuit dough, except add the remaining 1/3 cup sugar to the dry ingredients. Drop dough from tablespoon on hot peaches. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until top it lightly browned.

Makes 6 to 8 servings.

I come from a family were the elders never used a mix to make anything. The last of the great cooks past alway in 2005.
I tried to make this just to see if l could come to at least 50% match to the past.
I was in tears,l refuse to share this first batch with anyone that could not understand the history being felt and taste. I did make another and came again to same standard. Thank you so much, l'm making more dishes and know l will be again in the past at the table.
