BLONDE BROWNIES 
1/4 c. butter
1 c. light brown sugar, packed
1 egg
3/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. coarsely chopped pecans

Melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar until well blended. Cool. Stir in egg. Sift together and stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Spread in well greased 8" square pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 25 minutes. Do not over bake! Cut into bars or squares while still warm.
