SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS 
1 egg
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
1 green pepper, cut in inch size pieces
1 c. pineapple tidbits (reserve juice)
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. reserved pineapple juice
1/2 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 c. water

Mix ground beef, egg, chopped onion, salt, and pepper. Form into balls. Brown in 1/2 cup cooking oil. Remove balls from oil; reserve 1 tablespoon oil. Add oil to water, pineapple, and green pepper. Simmer 5 minutes. Dissolve cornstarch in pineapple juice. Add juice, vinegar, soy sauce, and sugar to simmering green peppers and pineapple. Mix thoroughly and cook until thickened. Add meatballs. Serve over rice.
