DROP BISCUITS 
2 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
6 tbsp. soft shortening

Sift dry ingredients into a deep bowl. Make a well in the center. Add shortening to milk. Add liquid to dry ingredients. Stir lightly until well blended. Drop from end of spoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Leave room for biscuits to spread. Bake in a hot oven, 450 degrees, for about 12 minutes. Serve immediately. Yield: 12 biscuits.
