1 pkg. yeast 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. lukewarm water 2 - 2 1/2 c. flour 1/3 c. spaghetti sauce 1/2 lb. sliced ham 1/4 lb. sliced hard salami 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese Peppers (sweet or hot) Dissolve yeast in warm water in bowl. Add salt and flour to make a stiff dough. Turn onto floured surface and knead 10 minutes. Let rise until double in bulk, about 1 hour. Roll dough out into a 15"x9" rectangle. Spread spaghetti sauce within 1 1/2" of the edges. Place ham across spaghetti sauce, next the salami, then the cheese. Sprinkle on peppers to taste. Fold long edges over and pull side edges towards center and seal. Place on sheet of foil on baking sheet with the seam facing down. Make a small slit in the top of the loaf. Let rise about 45 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes, until loaf is a light brown. Cool, slice, delicious warm or cold. Makes 1 loaf. |
