CHRIS'S FAVORITE: TURTLES 
1 lb. caramels
2/3 c. milk - 1 sm. can - condensed milk
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. soft butter
1 c. chopped nuts
6 oz. chocolate chips

Melt caramels with 1/3 cup milk in double boiler and set aside. Mix cake mix (dry), butter, 1/3 cup milk, nuts by hand. Pat into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust. Pour caramel mix over that. Crumble rest of cake mixture on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes. Score through while still a little warm, then cut through into bars.
