POPPY SEED CAKE 
3 eggs
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
1 c. + 2 tbsp. oil
1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 1/2 tsp. butter flavor
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tbsp. poppy seeds

Beat the eggs well, add the sugar and beat. Add all other ingredients except poppy seeds, beat well, then stir in poppy seeds. Pour into 2 greased and floured 9"x5" loaf pans or 1 tube pan and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Remove from pans immediately, onto wire racks. While cake is hot, cover top and sides with glaze:

1/4 tsp. almond extract
1/4 tsp. butter flavor
1/4 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. orange juice (prepared, ready to drink)
Powdered sugar, enough to make fairly thick frosting, as it will "melt" a little when put on cake
