1 box of yellow cake mix 1 jar of preserves, jam or jelly any flavor but the traditional recipe calls for "Royal Purple" Muffins cups or tins, regular or mini size Prepare the pastry and cake batter according to package directions. Set aside the cake batter while you roll out the pastry and cut circles to fit the muffin cups. Place each pastry circle in a muffin cup. Fill the center of each cup with approximately 1 teaspoon of preserves. Fill cup with cake batter to cover preserves. Bake at 350 degrees until cake tests done, approximately 20 minutes. Makes 2 to 4 dozen depending on size. |
