PECAN COOKIES 
1 c. soft butter
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. dark brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. maple flavoring
1 pkg. (2 1/2 c.) ground pecans (2 3/4 oz. ground pecans equals 1 cup)

Cream butter and sugars, add unbeaten eggs mix well. Add dry ingredients which have been sifted together mix well. Add flavoring then pecans. Chill 1 hour. Shape into small balls, place at least 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.

Bake 350 degrees about 8 to 10 minutes. Remove while warm. Taste better deep golden brown. Makes 100 cookies.
