RAISIN OATMEAL COOKIES 
Soak:

1 c. raisins in hot water and drain

Set aside. Combine:

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. milk

Add:

1 2/3 c. rolled oatmeal
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
Drained raisins

Mix thoroughly. Drop onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degree for 12 minutes. Yield: approximately 3 dozen.
