DUBE'S BAKED BEANS | |
1 (15 oz.) can black beans 3 (15 oz. ea.) cans cannellini beans or great northern white beans 2 large red onions 4 strips of thick cut bacon 1/2 cup brown sugar 3/4 cup of ketchup 1/4 cup maple syrup 2 tbsp. cider vinegar 2 tbsp. dry mustard 1 tbsp. molasses 4 tbsp (1/2 stick) butter WATER MIXTURE: 2 cups warm water 2 tbsp. white sugar 2 tbsp. brown sugar 2 tbsp. maple syrup In a 6-quart Dutch oven sauté onions in butter. Add bacon, cook through. Then add remaining ingredients and sauté for 5 minutes. Then throw into oven at 375°F for 3 hours. After 2nd hour add water mixture. After 3rd hour transfer to Crock-Pot and cook for 8 hours on medium high. That’s it man!!! Submitted by: Brian Dube |
