PECAN PIE TREASURES 
PASTRY:

1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. quick rolled oats, uncooked
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. brown sugar, packed

TOPPING:

1 tbsp. all-purpose flour
3 eggs
3/4 c. dark corn syrup
3/4 c. chopped pecans
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt

In a medium bowl, combine all pastry ingredients. Mix together until a crumbly mixture is formed. Press into a greased 9 x 9 inch baking pan. Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Meanwhile, combine the topping ingredients, mixing thoroughly. Pour over baked pastry, and bake for an additional 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown.

Cool pan on wire rack before cutting into bars. These freeze perfectly and are great to have on hand for a quick dessert. Try topping with ice cream or whipped cream flavored with Grand Marnier. Makes about 32 bars.
