PECAN BAR APPLE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. cooking oil
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped pecans
3 c. fresh chopped apples
6 oz. butterscotch chips

Cream together oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add baking powder, flour and soda. Add remaining ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour in large pan.

ENGLISH CARAMEL FROSTING:

2/3 c. butter or Parkay
1 c. firm brown sugar
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. box powdered sugar

Melt butter in saucepan, add brown sugar and milk, heat to boiling. Stir constantly. Boil gently 5 minutes, cool 10 minutes. Blend in powdered sugar, beat until smooth; add vanilla.
