MACARONI AND CHEESE 
2 c. uncooked macaroni
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 1/2 c. milk
2 1/2 c. sharp grated cheese
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper

Cook macaroni and drain. Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Blend in salt, pepper, cornstarch. Remove from heat. Gradually add milk, stirring until smooth. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Remove from heat, add 2 cups of cheese and stir until cheese melts. Pour cheese mixture over macaroni. Mix well. Pour into buttered casserole dish. Top with 1/2 cup grated cheese. Bake 25 minutes at 375 degrees or until slightly brown and bubbly.
