MOLASSES POPCORN BALLS 
1/3 c. molasses
1/4 tsp. salt
6 c. popped corn
1/4 tsp. vinegar
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. butter

Combine molasses, sugar, water, vinegar, and salt; cook slowly without stirring to 270 degrees (or when small quantity dropped into cold water separates into heavy threads). Remove from heat; add butter, stirring only enough to mix. Pour over popped corn, stirring constantly. Shape lightly and quickly into balls.
