CHOCOLATE CARAMEL PIE 
1 lg. pie shell
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
3 lg. eggs
1 tbsp. water
1/2 c. cream
Lump butter
Salt
Vanilla

Dissolve (melt) 1/2 cup of sugar in 1 cup milk in saucepan. Beat 3 yolks and 1 white, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 level tbsp. flour. Add 1/2 cup cream, butter, salt. Cook until thickened, add vanilla. Save egg whites.

Prepare 1 package instant chocolate pudding (less 1/2 cup milk as per package directions).

Pour on top of caramel mixture in large pie shell. Egg whites can be used as meringue - optional. Cool.
