BEEF PIE | |
1 1/2 lb. ground beef 1/3 c. chopped onion 1/4 c. chopped green pepper, optional 8 oz. tomato sauce 1 can mushrooms 8 oz. drained green beans 1/4 tsp. cumin seed 1/4 tsp. garlic salt 1/4 tsp. salt, I leave out! 1 can Pillsbury crescent rolls 1 egg, slightly beaten 2 c. shredded cheese Brown ground beef, onion, green pepper. Drain. Stir in tomato sauce, beans, mushrooms, and seasonings. Simmer while preparing crescent rolls. Place dough in 9 inch pie pan to form crust. Combine egg and one cup of cheese. Spread over crust. Spoon in hot meat mixture. Top with remaining cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes before cutting. |
