CHERRY MUFFINS 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 lg. eggs
1 tsp. almond extract
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. cherries
2 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
1-2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Beat together butter and sugar. Add eggs, almond, baking powder and salt. Mix in cherries. Mix in 1/2 flour and 1/2 milk - then repeat. Put into muffin cups. Top with mixture of sugar and nutmeg. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes.
