MEXICAN BUFFET | |
Brown: 3-4 lbs. hamburger Add: 1 lg. onion, chopped 1 section garlic, crushed 4 tsp. chili powder mix 8 oz. tomato sauce 6 oz. tomato paste 2 c. water 1 qt. cooked pinto beans (optional) Simmer 2 hours. Cook 5 cups rice. Grate 1 pound Cheddar cheese. Slice 4 tomatoes. Crush 1 large bag Fritos. Slice 2 avocados. Set out olives, stuffed - 1 jar picante sauce. This is a put-it-together buffet recipe. Begin with rice. Add meat sauce mixture, Fritos, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, picante sauce as desired. Garnish with olives, avocados. Serve with hot bread or tortillas (flour). |
