YEAST BISCUITS 
2 pkg. dry yeast
6 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 c. shortening
1 c. milk
Melted butter

Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water. Sift dry ingredients together in large bowl. Mix in shortening until crumbly. Add milk and yeast. Knead until smooth and elastic. Roll onto floured surface; cut with biscuit cutter. Dip in butter. Place on greased baking sheet or pan. Let rise for 30 minutes or until doubled in bulk. Bake at 400 degrees until brown.
