HOT GINGERBREAD 
2 eggs
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. melted shortening
3/4 c. molasses
3/4 tsp. ginger
2 1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. allspice
1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. boiling water

Beat the eggs in large mixing bowl, add the brown sugar, shortening and molasses. Mix the spices, soda, and baking powder and salt with the flour and sift into the egg mixture. Now stir everything together as if you meant it. Pour the boiling water in the last thing and mix again.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
