SALISBURY STEAK 
6 saltines, crushed
1 lb. ground beef
salt and pepper
1 egg, beaten
1 small onion
1/4 c. flour
2 c. water
2 bouillon (beef) cubes
4 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. milk

Put crackers in milk. Combine beef with crackers, salt, pepper, egg and onion. Shape in oval patties and brown in butter. Place in baking pan or dish. Stir 1/4 cup skillet drippings with flour. Dissolve cubes in water and add slowly until mixture thickens. Pour over steak.

Bake, uncovered, 45 minutes at 325°F.
