OATMEAL DROP COOKIES 
1 c. raisins
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 1/3 c. juice from raisins
2 c. oatmeal and raisins

Cover raisins with boiling water; let stand until raisins are soft. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Add flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and baking soda mixture; mix well. Stir in oatmeal and raisins and mix well. Drop with spoon on lightly greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
