BRITISH ISLES PASTIES
1 lg. ground pork, sausage, or any meat
2 tbsp. chopped onion
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. sage
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 c. table cream
1 c. cooked, chopped potato
1 c. peeled, diced apple
2 tbsp. light brown sugar
Pastry for two (2 crust) pies

Saute meat and onion; drain off fat. Add flour, cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add spices and cream; cook and stir 1-2 minutes to thicken. Add potato and apple mixed with brown sugar. Cook 1 minute. Cool completely.

Prepare pastry. Roll pastry to 1/8 inch thick; cut in 5 inch circles. Put 1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons filling in center of each round. Moisten edges, fold over, and pinch to seal (half circle). Bake on ungreased sheet at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Unbaked pastries can be wrapped in plastic and baked later. Excellent frozen and heated in microwave.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
