MOM'S CROWN CAKE 
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. Crisco
2/3 c. milk
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. milk
2 unbeaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Measure flour, Crisco, milk, sugar, and salt into mixing bowl. Blend by hand or mixer for 2 minutes. Stir in baking powder all by itself. Now add milk, eggs, and vanilla. Blend by hand or mixer for 2 minutes. Pour into tube pan 3 inches deep, greased and lightly floured. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes. Good with chocolate frosting!
