APPLE DUMPLINGS 
1 recipe for double crust pie
6 apples, peeled and cored
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 c. water

Roll pastry and cut into 6 inch squares. Combine sugar and cinnamon. Dip apples into melted butter, then in sugar. Place on squares and bring corners up to top of apples and seal. Place in 13 x 9 inch pan and bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Combine water and remaining butter. Pour over dumplings and reduce heat and bake additional 40-50 minutes longer.
