1 c. sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla or lemon
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
4 c. plus 4 tbsp. flour

Cream sugar, butter and oil. Add eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, soda and cream of tartar and add to creamed mixture. Roll in balls, flatten with glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
