OVEN FRIED CHICKEN 
1 fryer chicken, cut up
1 c. Bisquick
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. paprika
1/4 c. each of shortening and butter (ok if you use only 1/4 c. butter)

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Mix Bisquick, salt, pepper, paprika in paper sack.

Melt shortening and butter in a shallow pan (13 x 9 x 2 inches) in oven. Shake three or four pieces of chicken in the sack at a time, coat thoroughly. Place chicken in pan, skin side down, in single layer.

Bake 45 minutes. Turn once. Bake for another 15 minutes.
