5 tbsp. butter 4 drops food coloring 1 drop of flavoring 1 lb. powdered sugar 2 tbsp. cold water Melt butter and add food coloring and flavoring, stir to blend. Add sugar and water. Knead in pan and on board until smooth. Roll out on wax paper 1/4 inch thick. Cut with center of doughnut cutter or other small cookie cutter. Maay also be made into small balls and flattened with fork, glass of meat mallet. Trimmings can be rerolled and rekneaded over and over. Place on wax paper several hours to dry. Makes 125 to 130. |
