GARDEN - GOOD GREEN BEANS | |
1 lb. green beans 1 med. onion, peeled and sliced 3 tbsp. butter 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 envelope instant chicken broth or tsp. granulated chicken bouillon 1/4 c. water Tip green beans; halve lengthwise, then crosswise, if desired. Saute onion in butter until soft in a medium size saucepan. Stir in beans; toss until shiny- moist. Stir in remaining ingredients; heat to boiling and cover. Cook 10 minutes or just until beans are crisply tender. Spoon into a heated serving bowl. We tasted this cole slaw at the Ford's in Silver Spring on a recent weekend visit. It is delicious. |
